A new study from our colleagues in Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark shows that InfCare HIV can be used in identifying and characterizing suboptimally treated patients. The article can be accessed from this web page.

In accordance to new regulations taking effect in Swedish health care, Health Solutions has CE marked the decision support system InfCare HIV as a medical device.

Health Solutions has reviewed and improved protocols regarding quality assurance, risk management and service in our efforts to CE mark InfCare HIV. A complete quality management system based on ISO 13485:2003 and a risk management system based on ISO 14971:2000 has been implemented. The work has also resulted in higher ambitions for our customer service and support.

IBD Care, a decision support system for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, IBD, was introduced on June 9th. The course of disease is complex and the treatment options are many in these diseases. With the help of IBD Care the care will be improved by enabling all information about patients’ diseases and treatments to be monitored over time. Linköping University Hospital is the first to implement the system, but more regions will follow this year.

Health Solutions hosts promising students every year who want to perform their thesis work in collaboration with the company. During the spring semester of 2010 four selected students have conducted research for their theses which will be presented on June 1st, 9AM onwards. Three of the students are master students from the master program in Health Informatics at Karolinska Institutet. One of the students is from the master program in Pharmacy from Uppsala Universitet.

Camilla Berglund, Niklas Eklöf, Ted Lindskog and Petra Skattman have all been working hard during this semester. We are looking forward to see their results on June st.

Health Solutions are collaborating with Apoteket AB and Pfizer in a project concerning compliance to drug treatment. 800 patients will be included in the study, and results are expected in late 2010.
